Just for Fun: Barn Time!
While making our way home from the auction on Saturday, we took the long route through the countryside surrounding Gardner and Olathe, Kansas and came across some really cool barns. While not really a barn, this little corner feed store is one of my favorites. There didn't seem to be anyone around and the place seemed out of business.

ReplyDeleteAn important part of the agricultural community in years gone by, but sadly so many of these small businesses are gone now. It must have been a bustling place years ago.

Cute building. Reminds me very much of a historic market near where I live, that is now owned/operated by the National Park Service. It is only open throughout the summer months (serving tailor made sandwiches, coffee, and of course ice cream cones) being connected to the historic state park it sits at the edge of. I hope someone does something with this building. It's a charmer that should not be lost.
